The Dalí Museum in Florida – level 1
31-03-2025 07:00
The Dalí Museum in Florida has many paintings and sculptures by Salvador Dalí.
Dalí is a famous artist who paints in a dream-like way. He lives in the 20th century. He once says that he will never die. And his art is still here today. The museum has a special show where people can feel inside his paintings.
Dalí learns to paint like old artists but wants to make something new. His famous melting clocks painting is in New York, but many of his works are in Florida. A couple, Elanor and Reynolds Morse, give their collection to the city. The museum opens in 1982 and now many people visit. Dalí’s art is still exciting and important today.
Difficult words: sculpture (the art of making objects of metal, stone, wood, or glass), melting (turning into a liquid form), collection (a group of things such as paintings, old objects, and so on).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
How does the museum allow visitors to experience Salvador Dalí's unique, dream-like art in a hands-on way?
