Gukesh Dommaraju from India is the youngest world chess champion. He is only 18 years old. He beats Garry Kasparov who wins at age 22.
Dommaraju wins the chess final in Singapore. He beats Ding Liren from China. He makes history as the youngest winner ever. When he comes back to India, people are very happy. Many fans cheer for him at the airport. They give him flowers. Gukesh is happy to bring the trophy to India.
Gukesh starts playing chess when he is a child. At 12, he becomes a chess grandmaster. He is now the second Indian to win the world title after Viswanathan Anand. Gukesh will meet the Prime Minister soon.
