Flash-panning is a new way of dating.
The relationship starts very fun and exciting. People go on fun dates and spend a lot of time together. Everything looks great on social media. But when there are real-life problems, like work or schedules, one person leaves. This person is the flashpanner. Flashpanners like the beginning of a relationship. The beginning is easy and fun. But they do not want to stay when things get hard. They do not talk about the problem. They just go away without saying goodbye. This can make the other person feel sad. It can be very hard to understand why the person is away.
Difficult words: dating (meeting someone who you like a lot), schedule (a plan of events and times), relationship (how two or more people are connected).
